Proven track record

Farai is passionate about, and specialises primarily in sports and entertainment law. He has acted for various clients including individual sportspersons, clubs, sports associations, and production houses in the film or television industry. He has appeared and acted for various parties before specialist sports dispute resolution tribunals including the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Farai has also acted as a Prosecutor for Boxing South Africa and the South African Institute of Drug-Free Sport. He is committed to access to justice in his fields of specialisation and often offers pro-bono services. As a result, he was recently appointed to the FIFA Probono Counsel Panel. He is excited about this role and hopes to make a difference in international football legal matters.

Farai’s other areas of specialisation and interest are employment law, immigration law and general litigation.

Farai also serves as an Editorial Board Member for LawInSport – Africa Subdivision

Farai is a hopelessly untalented sportsperson. After unsuccessfully trying his luck with football and cricket, he settled for road running. He has run more than 60 marathons, 2 Comrades Marathons and a few other ultra-marathons.
